Throughout my Data and Digital Journalism course, we worked with datasets by first learning to sort/filter them for analysis, then cleaning the data by removing any errors, and using the resulting data to create pivot tables for findings within the data.
Once we analyzed the data, we used the findings to create engaging, detailed data visualizations in Datawrapper. The final component of the course involved learning to code in HTML and CSS to create our own websites.
After some practice, we were required to apply all of these skills to a dataset and a topic of interest in our final projects. For my final project, I explored the topic of AI hallucinations in law.
